Advantages of Becoming Your Loved One’s CNA/HHA
As a family member, nobody understands the daily needs of your loved one better than you do. The “Family-as-CNA/HHA” program is unique to South Carolina Medicaid and allows family members to earn certification to become a caregiver for their loved one, based on medical necessity. It allows an opportunity to earn a viable income as an employee of a home healthcare agency.
- By becoming your family member’s certified caregiver, you don’t have to worry about lapses in care.
- With a trusted family member as a CNA/HHA, some financial burden is relieved for the family.
